Researchers should rely on original records whenever possible. Use secondary (or higher) transcribed records as a 'lead' to the original record, and only until you obtain the original record.

It is the researcher's responsibility to verify the accuracy and validity of any record from any book or any website, including this website. AFGS assumes no responsibility for errors in any printed content.

AFGS works diligently to correct errors when found, a monumental task because of the vast amounts of data available to researchers.
